LAB REQUIREMENTS:
The submitting contact person's name and contact information;
Description of the nature and the basic facts concerning the incident including any relevant history;
The name or names of and descriptive data about the individual or individuals involved (subject, suspect, victim);
A list of the evidence being submitted and what types of examinations are requested for each item.
Include contact and address where the evidence should be returned and where the report should be sent.
Attach a statement if the evidence was examined by another expert in the same field, if there is local controversy, or if law enforcement agencies have an interest in the case.
LATENT MATERIALS:
Only properly equipped forensic labs should open a package marked LATENT because fingerprints are involved
If acquiring hosts where physical access to the system may be proven with fingerprints, this must be considered
