Current Research / Projects:
- Distributed Multi-Threaded Checkpointing (DMTCP)
- DMTCP is a tool for transparently checkpointing
the state of a distributed program spread across many machines without modifying the user's program or the operating system kernel.
- The checkpoint image can later be used to restore program in case of node/process failure or
can be migrated to another homogeneous system.
- Implement Disk based Parallel Binary Decision Diagram (BDD)
- Binary Decision Diagram is a data structure, which looks similar to a Directed Acyclic Graph,
and is used to represent a Boolean function. They are commonly used in Formal Verification Methods.
- BDDs explode in space as the number of variables in Boolean function grows.
- The goal is to use parallel Disks to store and process very large BDDs which might not fit entirely into RAM.
