LEADERSHIP
This page gives a brief background about some of the leadership based opportunities that I had taken up during the past few years during my high school, Undergraduate and Graduate coursework. Its a summary of my leadership / extra curricular experience during those periods of my career.
UNIVERSITY OF MUMBAI, INDIA
Chief of the Organizing Committee, Odyssey 2002
- Supervised and managed 4 supervisors and 25 organizing leaders for the annual college festival
- Coordinated with the commercial sponsors and raised funds for the festival
- Interacted with the organizing committee, college faculty, college management and the specialists hired for the festival such as Music DJ/Band, Catering department, Construction authorities.
- Made sure the festival was successful as per the agenda
- Mediated conflicts, Time/budget implementation issues and emergency conditions during the festival
- Finalized the budget, agenda and activities for the week long event.
- Organized emergency availability such as medical, Power outage and crowd control/Security.
- Contributed to the staff meetings with the president
- Personally met and send out invitations to the guests of honor
- Master of ceremonies for the annual event

- Supervised and managed 5 organizing leaders under me
- Coordinated with my supervisor and the staff on the events committee
- Interacted with the organizing committee, college faculty and college management
- Made sure the events were held as per the plan during the festival
YOUNG GIANTS GROUP OF CHOWPATTY (Charity- non profit organization)
President of the group, 1996,1997
- Supervised and organized weekly meeting for the club
- Managed budgets, agenda for the meetings/ monthly projects
- Supervised Projects such as:
- Fundraising for homeless/starving communities and providing clothes to the people in need
- Fundraising for providing accessories such as wheelchairs to the poor and handicapped people
- Conducted a Blood donation drive for a public hospital
- Attended annual national and international conventions
